April 2023 Progress Update

Hello Everyone!

Physic here with an update on the progress of the next build.  (Because y'know... that wasn't already clear from the title)

Firstly, let me say thank you all for your ongoing interest and support in this project.

A huge shoutout to my Patrons Rednecktexan, LEROY JONES, Everos and Fuzzfang. You guys are absolute legends and you have my utmost gratitude for your generosity!

Now that the wild fangirling is done, lets get into what to expect in the next update.

I've made a number of technical updates which has made writing and constructing scenes a hell of a lot easier and faster so I'm looking forward to having more content for you at a faster pace with each update. My goal is to eventually achieve consistent, monthly updates. (Please bear with me as I adapt to juggling work, study and this project)

I'll be releasing a full changelog closer to the release date, but for now...

I'm happy to announce that the next build will have the full screen toggle option and will also be available on the following platforms:

  • Windows
  • Mac OS X
  • Android/IOS

Are you a linux user? let me know in the comments so we can look into getting this supported as well.

Story-wise, Day and Night 0 are both complete, with Day and Night 1 also nearing completion. To put this in context, the demo will consist of 6 days and 5 nights. Currently, the autosave function will kick in at the end of each day and night however, I've been toying with the idea that if players would prefer autosaves at the midway point of a day/night as well, this can be implemented. We'll get to explore the campus more, meet a bunch of other characters and also be getting our first look at the battle system, while the battles will be easy initially, please keep in mind they will be tweaked in future and the difficulty increased.

That wraps up the update for now, keep your eyes on itch.io and my twitter for the latest updates and releases!

Linux is my Main Operating System (Manjaro Linux with most recent LTS Kernel and Cinnamon Desktop - Manjaro is an Arch-Linux-based Distro), if you need testing, I'm up for it when I can! <3

Unfortunately many Windows-Games made with RPG Maker and the Script, that's running when they're loaded, aren't working well with WINE/Lutris in my Linux Distro at least.
And it seems quite a bit complicated to get RPG-Maker to spit-out working Linux-Code, too. I think one Developer did that and it only worked after fiddling around a lot with the Output back then (it was a year or two ago though, so things might have improved by now, as I know the Community).
